So, it's been a bit since I did the first of these, and I figured it was time to make another. A little update about the store, we are now coming into the beginning of what, our third year? It's been a long, rough road. At this point in the journey, I'm working almost everyday of the week, around 12 hours a day. That's fine, I want this place to continue. I hope that the coming year is much more than it has been, so that can be so.
Magic has been magic. To quote a friend of mine, who owned a card shop about a decade ago, "Magic pays the bills". Well it sorta does, as I do sell things on TCGplayer to do just that. Shop traffic has picked up though, and I still get the "I didn't know you guys were here!" Which is shocking to me, Berea being the small town it is.
Lorcana has been a success, at least in sales. I think the card game itself has quite a distance to go, and collectors are happy with it. Players enjoy the competitive scene. It's still early, they have good bones and the ability to grow the game, and I hope it's in a positive direction.
One-Piece TCG is something we have recently started, and wow, it is doing great. People love the game, it's easy to pick-up, and singles are dirt cheap really, unless you want the "pretty cards". I'm looking forward to seeing where we can take the game here at Bad Wolf.
D&D. Well, this has dropped off a bit here lately at the shop, but I hope to actually get a game going soon on Saturdays. I don't know if it will actually be 5e or what ruleset though.
Otherwise, I want to thank everyone for coming to see me, and patronize the establishment. I hope that you continue to do so in the coming year.
Roll for initiative.
